Health and safety disclaimer
Last updated: September 8, 2026
Garage Gym App helps you assemble workouts from the choices you make. It is not a medical service, physical therapy program, licensed coaching practice, or emergency service. This disclaimer is part of the Terms of service.
If you cannot accept this risk, do not use the app and do not perform the sessions it shows you.
Not medical advice
Nothing in the app is a diagnosis, treatment plan, or clearance to exercise. Generated text, loads, rest suggestions, and exercise swaps are educational software output. They are not individualized medical or rehabilitation advice.
Do not rely on the app for chest pain, fainting, uncontrolled breathing trouble, sudden weakness, or any emergency. Call local emergency services.
Talk with a clinician first
Talk with a physician or other qualified clinician before you start or change an exercise program. That conversation matters even more if any of the following apply to you:
- Pregnancy, postpartum recovery, or plans to become pregnant
- A current or recent injury, surgery, or chronic pain
- Heart, blood-pressure, metabolic, neurological, or respiratory disease
- Dizziness, unexplained fatigue, or a history of passing out
- Medications that affect heart rate, balance, or recovery
- Advice from a clinician to limit lifting, impact, or range of motion
Follow your clinician’s restrictions over anything the app suggests.
You assume the risk of training
Strength training, conditioning, running, jumping, and barbell work can cause muscle damage, joint injury, rhabdomyolysis, heart events, or death. Home gyms add risk from dropped weights, collapsing racks, poor flooring, low ceilings, and training without a spotter.
Olympic lifts, heavy squats and presses, and high-skill gymnastics need coaching and a safe setup. If you do not have that skill or setup, skip the movement. Choosing to perform a session is your decision. You assume the risk of injury to the fullest extent the law allows.
Form, load, and your space
Before each session you are responsible for:
- Using loads you can control for every rep you attempt
- Using sound form, or regressing the movement when you cannot
- Confirming that listed equipment is present and in working order
- Clearing the floor, checking collars, and securing racks and benches
- Stopping if pain, numbness, chest pressure, or dizziness starts
Logged weights are not a command to lift that number today. Fatigue, sleep, heat, and prior injury can make yesterday’s load unsafe.
Generated sessions can be wrong for you
The product can invent a session that overreaches your skill, ignores an injury you did not enter, or names a variation you do not have equipment to do well. Treat every plan as a draft. Substitute or skip anything that feels unsafe.
Garage Gym Company does not watch you lift and cannot catch a missed brace, a bounced bar, or a failed spot.
Your gym and other people
Garage Gym Company does not sell, inspect, assemble, or warrant your rack, bar, bench, flooring, or other equipment. You are responsible for anyone else who trains in your space or follows a session from your account.
No outcome promises
Garage Gym Company does not promise strength, muscle, fat loss, a specific time, or a competition result. Progress depends on your recovery, nutrition, consistency, and factors the software cannot see.
Release
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you release Garage Gym Company and its operators from claims arising out of your training, equipment, or use of generated workouts, including ordinary negligence. This release does not apply where the law forbids a waiver, including claims based on our willful misconduct.
Details on accounts, billing, and liability caps live in the Terms of service. Data handling lives in the Privacy policy.
