Terms of service

These terms govern your use of Garage Gym App at garagegymapp.com, operated by Garage Gym Company. By using the service, creating an account, starting a demo, or beginning a paid trial, you agree to this agreement.
In these terms, “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Garage Gym Company. If you do not agree, do not use the service. The Privacy policy and Health and safety disclaimer are part of this agreement.
The service
Garage Gym App is software that helps you plan home and garage gym workouts from the equipment, time, and session type you choose. It can generate and save sessions, track completions, and process a paid membership.
The app is not medical care, physical therapy, personal training, or a substitute for a qualified coach who can watch you lift. Generated sessions are suggestions. You decide what to perform.
Who may use the app
You must be at least 18 years old. You must be able to form a binding contract. You may not use the service if we have closed your account for a breach of these terms.
Demo workouts
The public site may offer a guided demo that opens a dummy training environment without a Google account. The demo exists so you can try the product. It is not a paid membership and it does not create a billed Stripe customer.
Demo data is temporary and scoped to the browser tab you started it in. Closing that tab, clearing site data, or ending the demo wipes the environment. Do not treat demo workouts as a permanent training log.
Your account
Paid use requires a Google sign-in. You are responsible for that Google account and for activity that happens while you are signed in. Keep your sign-in method secure. Tell us if you believe someone else used your account.
You must give accurate information needed to run billing, including a working email address on the Google account.
Subscriptions and billing
The current membership is $2.99 per month after a 7-day free trial. It includes up to 7 generated workouts each week. Prices and limits can change for future sign-ups. We will show the price before you pay.
Stripe processes payment. When the trial ends, the membership renews automatically unless you cancel first. Each renewal charges the payment method on file for the then-current period.
Weekly build limits reset on the plan week used by the product. Unused builds do not roll over. Failed or blocked generations may not count. Successful generations count against the week.
Cancellations and refunds
Cancel in Settings through the Stripe billing portal. Cancellation stops the next renewal. You keep access until the paid or trial period already started has ended, unless the law requires more.
Cancel before the trial ends if you do not want the first paid charge. After a successful charge, fees are not refundable except where a statute requires a refund. Chargebacks filed in bad faith are a breach of these terms.
Generated workouts
Session assembly can use automated models, including third-party language models such as Anthropic, together with our own programming rules. Outputs can be incomplete, repetitive, or a poor fit for your body, skill, or equipment.
You must skip or change any movement you cannot perform safely. See Anthropic’s privacy policy for that processor. See the Health and safety disclaimer before you train.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Abuse generation limits, scrape the service, or probe it for exploits
- Reverse engineer the product except where a law gives you that right
- Interfere with other accounts, demo environments, or our infrastructure
- Upload unlawful content or use the app to harm anyone
- Misrepresent your age, identity, or payment information
Your content
You keep rights in the training notes, preferences, and feedback you enter. You grant Garage Gym Company a license to host, process, and display that content as needed to run and improve the service, including generating workouts from it.
You are responsible for the accuracy of equipment lists, injuries you choose to disclose, and loads you log.
Our intellectual property
The app, workout templates, copy, design, and software are owned by Garage Gym Company or its licensors. These terms do not sell you that intellectual property. You receive a limited, revocable license to use the service for your own training while your account is in good standing.
Service changes
We may change features, models, limits, or availability. We may suspend the service for maintenance, abuse, unpaid invoices, or legal risk. We are not liable for downtime, lost demo state, or a missed training day.
Ending the service
You may stop using the app at any time and cancel a paid membership as described above. We may suspend or close an account that violates these terms, creates safety or billing risk, or remains inactive.
After closure, we may delete or de-identify data as described in the Privacy policy, subject to legal retention needs such as tax and fraud records.
Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, Garage Gym Company disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that generated workouts are safe, effective, or appropriate for you.
Limits on liability
Training can cause injury or death. You assume that risk as stated in the Health and safety disclaimer. To the fullest extent the law allows, Garage Gym Company is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or training progress.
Our total liability for claims arising out of the service is limited to the greater of the membership fees you paid to us in the twelve months before the claim and $50.00. Some places do not allow these limits. In those places, the limit is the maximum permitted.
Your responsibility for claims
You will defend and indemnify Garage Gym Company and its operators against claims that arise from your use of the service, your training, your content, or your breach of these terms, except to the extent we caused the claim by our own willful misconduct.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the service and cancel any paid membership.
Third-party services
Sign-in, payments, hosting, and some workout generation run on third-party services, including Google, Stripe, and Anthropic. Their outages, policies, and security practices are outside our control. Your use of those services is also subject to their terms.
Taxes
Prices shown are in US dollars. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchase, except taxes we collect through Stripe.
Notices
We may send notices to the email on your Google account. You may send legal notices to support@garagegymapp.com. Notices are effective when sent.
Disputes
Before filing a claim, email us and give us 30 days to try to resolve it. These terms are governed by applicable United States federal law and the consumer-protection laws of your state of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
If a court must hear a dispute, it will be a court of competent jurisdiction, except where a law of your home state requires another forum. Nothing in these terms limits a non-waivable consumer right.
Survival
Sections that by their nature should survive ending the service remain in effect, including ownership, generated-workout limits, acceptable use, disclaimers, limits on liability, indemnity, and this survival clause.
General terms
These terms are the entire agreement for the service. If a court finds a section unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a section is not a waiver. You may not assign the agreement without our consent. We may assign it as part of operating the service.
Headings are for reading convenience only. “Including” means “including without limitation.”
